I usually start on my Halloween costumes in September however as the kids grew older they decided homemade costumes was not the “cool” thing. So for the last couple of years it has been off to the store to pick out costumes. I must admit I miss making costumes. I have a great post with my Homemade Costumes if you care to wallow with me in my grief of costumes past.
Last year Honey had a hard time decided on her costume and she went back and forth between a cheerleader and a genie. In the end she decided to be a genie.
This year our search was quick and painless. Since she wasn’t a cheerleader last year you can pretty much figure out what her costume is this year. She had to browse through all the cheerleader costumes on several different sites. We prefer purchasing online then going into out local party city where it can be a mad house weeks before Halloween. When ended up getting our costume from WholesaleHalloweenCostumes. Their costumes are extremely reasonable and Honey’s costume sells for only $19.40.
She is already all about her costume and is requesting skull earrings, black lipstick and nail polish, and some cute black and white ribbons for her pig tails. Oh yeah and she thinks she is going to wear her pink boots with the costume but little does she know we got her black boots for her birthday. We are going to celebrate it at our annual pumpkin carving party on Sunday Oct 30th so she will get them just in time for Halloween.
