I mentioned a few days ago about my unfortunate experience at Toys R Us : Toys R Us Fail. After this fiasco we did manage to purchase Honey a bike that day. Our third stop was a Walmart (our second Walmart). At this third stop we were finally finally to find something in her size and for a girl. Our issue with the first Walmart was size, we couldn’t find anything in 18″.
How did I know I needed an 18″ bike? Thanks to my iPhone (I just love smart phones). I was able to google how to find the right size bike, I found this chart…
I went to the store knowing that the bike we were getting rid of was a 12″. I thought maybe we should be looking for a 16″ bike. Umm….this doesn’t really look like the right size.
After finding the chart above we took a detour section to the hardware section to measure Honey. She was 48″ tall which as you can see is the highest height for an 18″, and imagine her bike at home was a 12″. I think she was definitely over due for an upgrade. We decided on the 18″ which as I mentioned was not in stock at all at the first Walmart, I won’t even go into the Toys R Us fiasco you can read about that in the original post, and we hit the jackpot at the second Walmart.
Honey didn’t want to pose with her bike but she LOVES it. It is white with purple, pink, and green peace signs. She LOVES peace signs. Here is a photo of her old bike next to her new bike. Seriously what was I thinking??
