The other evening a good friend of mine was hanging out with some blogger friends, one of which I happened to have met just a few weekends before. My friend having known me since middle school when referring to me would of course pronounce my name correctly. The blogger that I had just met though my friend was messing with her on the pronunciation of my name and made her call me. The whole scenario was quite funny, so it got me thinking that many of you may not even know how to pronounce the name of this blog….trust me I’ve heard many different variations. So today I thought I would set the record start on both my first name and last name.
My first name is Colleen normally pronounced (kol-een) with a short o sound

Whooops, I called you “Call-een”…sorry ’bout that!

No apologies please. I feel if I correct people I make them feel bad but if I don’t it seems to have the same effect. Maybe I should just change my name and no one would feel bad LOL
Well except my mom!

It’s funny how many different ways people will pronounce your name, regardless of how simple it may seem to you. My maiden name was Rodgers and I even had a “roy-gers” pronunciation at one point. Really?!?!? ;o) I haven’t had a spare moment to breathe in quite a while and wanted to stop by and say hi. Hope all is well on your side of the bloggy world! ;o)

🙂 And many people call me other names other than “Nicole” but my parents had to spell it all wacky hehe

Well, I’ve been pronouncing your last name correctly in my head, but getting your first name totally wrong! Thanks for clearing that up! 🙂

LOL I didn’t see the videos when I read this through my email. I always correct people when they say your name wrong (hence the inspiration behind this post), so just let me know when people do it and I’ll set them straight. 😉 Brian thinks it is funny to say it wrong on purpose these days…
