Vtech has been long known for their electronics, phones, and fun kids toys. My daughter and I recently wrote a review for one of those fun toys, the MobiGo2. Honey loved it so much she couldn’t wait for her InnoTab2 to arrive. The InnoTab2 is geared towards a little older kids like Honey.
When it first came in I got the batteries in and handed it over. The children like to try to figure out how to play and use things without my assistance. She quickly learned how to take photos. Yes the InnoTab2 takes photos similar to an iPad. She loved this feature and walked around the house snapping photos of everyone. You can even take a photo and put the photo in some cute images like a mermaid.
After she played with the InnoTab2 a while we hooked it up to the computer to download 2 free games. Like the MobiGo2 you can purchase and download games directly to the InnoTab2. This is especially great if you know you are going to be taking a trip and want something new and fun for the kids to do.
I finally got a chance to check out the InnoTab2 myself. It was very similar to how the MobiGo2 works so it was not hard to get use to at all. You had the option to do coloring pages, read a book (if you purchase one), games, an art studio, notes, photos, videos, music, and more. In fact you can also use the InnoTab2 as a video recorder. Yes your child can take videos!
In Honey’s Own Words
You can play game’s and you can take pictures and you can download some games and theirs a art studio and theirs a calendar. I like the camera and video camera the best!
In addition to the games on the system and the ones we downloaded we received a game cartridge to try as well Read, Play, and Create where you can read, learn, and be creative. There are quite a lot of fun game cartridges for this system.
The InnoTab2 is rectangular and is shaped more to resemble a tablet this was one feature about it I liked. I absolutely loved the camera idea an think this would be a fun feature for many kids. Especially young kids that are not quite old enough to handle an expensive camera. The games we have had the chance to play on the InnoTab2 have been okay. My daughter tries to pick out ones she think will peak her interest but the majority of them are two easy, or don’t keep here interest. However I think that could be solved with possibly additional cartridges, like those pictured above.
Overall for the price of the InnoTab2, the versatility, and the ability to download and purchase cartridges (to save on space), I think this would be a great gift for young children that are not yet ready to own a tablet. I love it for the photo option alone!

There are some really great toys for kids out there nowadays! V-Tech came out with their book with the touch pen ( I can’t remember what it was called) back when my kids were little and we thought that was amazing and now look what they’ve got. My nephew will love this in a couple years when he is old enough to play with it and my soon to be nephew or niece will too I imagine.

I think my grandchildren would love this. I know a couple of them have little kids cameras that they love so this would be fantastic to have this on there as well. My grandson loves all things Spongebob so he’d love that game for it. Great review, thanks!
