The week before my trip to San Diego was a blur. One thing I am not is organized. Well, I personally think I’m disorderly organized. I usually get done what needs to be done but not always in the most efficient way when it comes to planning for a vacation. So the three days before my trip I had deadlines to meet, packing to do, and schedules to make. What I did not do is clean even one inch of my home. I left my house with my husband and three kids at the helm in shambles. Thankfully I did manage a trip to the grocery store before I left so at least I knew they wouldn’t be malnourished when I returned.
My husband may not have been overly thrilled with me leaving. Don’t get me wrong he supported my decision do go, but it doesn’t mean he liked it. My husband and I do most things together. We are not party people, we don’t hang out, or really go out a whole lot. We grocery shop together, watch TV together, we basically just hang together. So four days of me across the country is not our usual MO.
What I didn’t expect was what I came home to. Now I know what you are thinking. You are thinking oh my, she left a grown man, 14 and 11 year old boys, and a little 5 year old girl at home. You might expect to find some pizza boxes lining the counters, or over flowing trash, or a sink full of dishes.
Well…….this is what I cam home too.
Yes, that my friends is a clean house. My husband and children cleaned the house while I was away and I can honestly say it is in much better shape then I how I left it. Not just pick up a few things clean. My husband and daughter dusted, vacuumed, and mopped my floors. The boys rooms were spotless. Honey, well I guess she was too busy helping daddy to get hers done that is a chore for this weekend. I can never say enough times how lucky I am to have such a wonderful man and such awesome children!
