I live in South Florida, I’ve lived in Florida most of my life (minus my early childhood and a few years in between). That said, I grew up loving the sun, so to be a good tan makes me look and feel healthy. However as an adult I’m taking better care of myself which means I don’t lay in the sun very often. So instead I have taken to spray tans.
I had a year package at a tanning salon so I could get spray tans whenever I want however I’ve found a few draw backs using spray tans. Sometimes depending on when they have changed out the tanning cartridge in the machines your tan may not always look natural. I went one time and thought all was well until I was at the gym with my husband (looking in the mirror), and noticed my skin didn’t look natural at all! Also the smell of a self tanner is not always pretty. I absolutely at the smell I get with spray on tans.
I have even tried the at home self tanning spray machine, or I should say I have one but haven’t actually tried it. The reason is I just think trying to do it myself I will miss a place, or it will come out with streaks. So I’m left to try to figure out how to get that healthy glow with out baking in the sun or dealing with an unnatural and smelly spray on tan.
I have been shopping for a self tanner lotion thinking maybe this would work better for me. So I’m going to be trying the Jergens Natural Glow tanning products to see if I can get that healthy looking tan using a lotion.
I thought it would be best to post a before photo. This was taken over a year ago but I think it does a good job of showing my ghostly pale skin without any tan of any kind. So now you have a “reference” photo to look back on after I’ve tried the Jergens Natural Glow for two months or so!
