Recently I wrote a post about a not so “ideal” experience with an online school uniform company called “Ideal Uniforms“. After not receiving anything my daughter could wear to school I was definitely scrambling to find some clothing she could wear to school. My daughter is picky and originally decided she was going to wear nothing but shorts and maybe a skirt to school and they had to be in navy or black. A representative of Lands’ End saw my post and reached out to me with a solution. They were sorry to hear about my unfortunate experience and offered to send me some clothing for my daughter to go back to school in style. I was touched by the generous offer, and pleased to hear she stumbled upon my blog.
I will be honest and let you know I had no idea Lands’ End carried school uniforms. When I think of Lands’ End I think of swim wear, nautical, and sun dresses. Don’t ask me why but that is what I picture. That and quality clothing, there was no doubt in my mind that any clothing from Lands’ Ends was going to be a good quality school uniform. Though I would have loved to picked out a cute top and bottoms to match Honey was really in need of shorts.
Do you know how hard it is to find black shorts for girls? It is a lot harder then one would think. That is why I was happy to see one style of shorts that Honey picked out did come in black. We ordered
School Uniform Girls’ Stain Resistant Stretch Bermuda Chino Shorts
Did you read that? Stain resistant…now that is a school uniform!
School Uniform Girls’ Plain Front Blend Chino Shorts
One of the things I noticed and loved while shopping for these shorts was they came in “Slim” this is definitely a plus for us. My daughter has a tiny figure but long legs so I’m forced to buy a larger size to accommodate those long legs which makes it a little too big in the waist. This is also one of the reasons I purchase shorts and skirts with adjustable waist bands. Both pairs of shorts above have this feature.
When the shorts arrived they were exactly what I expected, great quality and both had the adjustable waistbands as advertised (an issue I had with the order from the previous uniform company). The shorts were the perfect length not too short or too long. I suspect the shorts will be worn until they can’t be worn any more. We love the shorts and they are a great addition to Honey’s school uniforms.
I would have loved to shown you a picture with her in them but she just absolutely refused this time.
Disclaimer: I received the above product(s) at no cost to me by the company or representing PR agency. All opinions are my own and mine only. You may read more of my disclosure here.

Woman’s World is throwing a good sweepstakes for school uniforms, http://winit.womansworldmag.com/enter/drawing/412a96df025f8a829b5683c307c9a858f18c9eec, but it’s French toast, not Lands End. These look very high quality from the photos. Like a kids version of Dickies.

My son started kindergarten this year and started having to wear a uniform too. Wish I knew about Land’s End sooner. How does the quality compare to Kohls’ or Target’s uniform clothes? Any opinions yet?
