I mentioned about a week ago that I received the workout programing Les Mills Pump. When I read the information on the program I was excited to give it a try. I will be the first one to say I start these programs and never finish. Usually because it is so hard for me to find the time.
I’m proud to say I finished the first seven days and did every DVD and exercise I was instructed to do. Right now it fits my time table because the DVD portion is about 20 minutes. I think this is a brilliant way to ease someone in to being committed. There is nothing worse then during your first week thinking I have to get up an hour early to exercise.
My first week consisted of:
Day 1 : Pump Challenge (20 minutes)
Day 2 : Rest
Day 3 : Pump Challenge
Day 4 : Flow (20 minutes) Walk (45 minutes)
Day 5 : Pump Challenge
Day 6 : Hard Core Abs (20 minutes) Walk (45 minutes)
Day 7 : Rest
The days that required a 45 minute walk I split it up between the morning and the evening. I feel a lot more energized during the day, my body doesn’t ache as much and just feels more able to do what it needs to do, and I’m excited to say I’ve lost exactly 7 lbs during this first week.
I love the work outs so far but have to say the Hard Core Abs was the most challenging of the three. The first day I was smart and did the Pump Challenge with no waits and just used the light weight bar (The bar carries little weight it is not like the bars at the gym). I am so thankful I did because though I felt like I hadn’t worked anything when I was done about a day and a half later it hit me full force. I also HATE HATE HATE the lunges. I’ve never enjoyed them and they are the hardest thing for me to do.
The flow was nice as it is 20 minutes of yoga. At a faster pace then your relaxing yoga to get your heart rate up but it was a change from the weights in the first and second work out. Over all the time frame and switch between types of workouts has made the program interesting.
I decided to go ahead and take a before photo last week so I can compare each month. Yes I’m being vain and have decided to show my body only (not my face) I had no make up on and was just getting ready to exercise when I had hubby snap the photo. I’m excited to see this photo against a new photo in 30 days.

Oh thank you that was sweet. I have to do it in the AM or I just won’t get to it later in the day. I will walk later in the day but rarely will I do any other form of exercise.

Good luck! Interested to know how well you like it at the end. I am trying to find something that works for me. I get really bored with them and then do do the workout…or they are so tough I eventually give up.

I recently started working out to get in a bikini for my 31st!! Whoa I like this plan way better then an hour a day doing p90x. I do enjoy the workout but school is getting intense and even though its an hour I think I may need to change my routine to a shorter time.
