As much as a say often that I’m passionate about health & fitness I must admit I’m having a hard time staying on track. I believe I have that “SuperMom” syndrome where I think I can do it all. Work full time, cart the kids too and from sports, help with homework, cook, clean, blog, and exercise. Lately I’ve been falling short on quite a few things with the number one item getting the least attention being health and exercise. I had the stint with Nutrisystem and it was great while it lasted but lately all my good habits have gone out the window.
So what happens when your healthy habits begin to disappear? You start to feel tired more often, you don’t have the energy you had before, your skin starts to notice the different and many more things. The reason this happens is you are not feeding your body the nutrients it needs. When I was shopping this weekend I came across a large end cap in the vitamin isle.
What I noticed was a different type of vitamin. I was most interested in thevitamins. The reason these caught my eye is because sadly when I’m not eating well this is one area that suffers. No matter how unhealthy I eat getting protein, fat, and carbs in my diet is easy, however the fruits and vegetables are another story. You read in magazines how awesome blueberries and raspberries are yet I never can get myself to eat them on a daily basis. The thought of being able to get them in a vitamin was appealing.
Besides not eating the best, I must admit I’m terrible at remembering to take my vitamins each day. So my goal this coming month is to make this change my number one priority. To do so I’ve packed all my vitamins into a daily vitamin holder. This is just one of many goals I plan to implement to help get back into that healthy living style I was living about a year ago.
I’ve always taken vitamins on and off with my main vitamin being a multi-vitamin. Through the years I’ve tried a few different things. My husband is very good at taking his vitamins and is always there to help me when it comes to which vitamins I should take. I decided to go ahead and purchase the Centrum ProNutrient Fruits and Veggie vitamins to help ensure I get the added nutrients my body needs.
I’ve started taking the new vitamins and am eager to see if I feel any different. I will warn you though I’m not that in tuned with this type of stuff and can’t always pinpoint changes. What I’m most looking for are energy changes, overall feelings, and possible skin changes. Usually when I start to eat better I notice all three of these and hope the vitamins will also contribute.
In addition to this post I also did a ThisMoment story taking you through my weekend shopping and why I feel it is necessary to get the nutrients my body needs : Weekend Shopping : Centrum is Making #NutritionPossible
