Sometimes I wonder where my daughter gets it. I think it is from being around so many boys. One of Honey’s favorite shows to watch with her dad is “How It’s Made” I believe it is on the Discovery Channel. If my husband is flipping through the channels and she catches a glimpse of the show she gets excited and ask him to turn it back. They will sit there for hours watching pencils, bats, wheels, you name it being made. I often wonder how the show could be so exciting.
As each item is thrown onto the conveyor system Honey will go through the steps on how it was made. From the imprint, stamping, molding, etc. to how it gets its color and shape. She will explain how the items got in the box and how the box was packaged right down to the the print and apply labeler thingy that stamps all the information on the boxes to be shipped out.
It just amazes me how a 5 year old could be so fascinated with this type of show. It could be because she seems to yearn to learn (love that phrase). She really loves to learn everything, how things work, how to add, how to read, how to spell. You name it she loves to soak it all up. She also really loves the conveyor belt. She loves to watch the boxes or items plop out on the belt and tumble into a truck or what awaits here. Maybe I should contact CASI and get her one for her room, maybe it would then be fun to clean up. Send her clothes down a belt to the laundry room, or her toys to their toy box. Now there is an idea! In fact we can just build them through out the house and she can pick up all her stuff she leaves all over the place and throw it on the belt to send back to her room LOL.
