I grew up in a meat locker. Seriously living in Florida I was comfortable in sweat pants and a sweat shirt in August! So the majority of the time I find that I am cold, that is probably why I love Florida weather. I would much rather be hot then cold.
Amazingly my husband is the same way and we NEVER fight over the thermostat in the house. We keep it at 78 and even that sometimes feels cold. No sweat pants and long sleeve shirts for us, we prefer to wear shorts and a polo shirt.
I say this as I sit at work with a heater under my desk and a sweater wrapped around my summer clothed body. Unfortunately my desk sits right under a vent and my hands are usually ice cold but my toes are toasty warm thanks to my space heater.
So are you naturally cold or warm? Do you and your significant other fight over the thermostat in the house?

The temperature of the house is always a current topic at my house. I am convinced I run at least 10 degrees warmer than everyone else. I love it cool. My husband has poor circulation and literally has to wear two or three layers in the winter (MN) to keep warm. We both stare at each other in amazement, especially in the winter time. I am astounded at his layers and he is amazed at my bare arms and feet. I am currently dying in the heat wave we have been having (normal summer temps for Florida:) Thank goodness for central air!

What do you mean you were raised in a meat locker???? MOM

I’m originally from Wisconsin, but I moved to Florida 5 years ago…my blood totally thinned out and I FREEZE down here in winter. Of course it actually DOES get cold down here, though no one actually believes me.
During summer I have the air on. I get cold and I like it! I don’t like being all hot and sweaty. Ick
Guess I didn’t really answer your question though! hahah
Colleen says
LOL totally agree about the cold, the difference is the northerners idea of cold and our idea of cold is different.
My dad (from Michigan) came down one Christmas and he wore shorts and a polo shirt the whole time and the rest of us had jeans and sweaters on!

OMG I know! Although, what was it 2009 or 2010 when it was so obnoxiously cold and tourists were shocked and astounded how cold it was then they all complained about having to buy winter clothes because they didn’t bring anything along!

I am almost always cold. I like the A/C for a minute when I walk in, but then I start to get cold again. But for sleeping? I prefer being cold. I can not sleep if I’m even a touch overheated.

We keep ours around 77/78 in the summer and 66/68 in the winter, mainly to save on heating/cooling bills.

I’m naturally hot, so I prefer the colder seasons of Winter, early Spring and late Fall. If I had it my way, the temperature would always be around 70 degrees during hot days and the low 60s during cold days. Thanks!

I was born and raised in Louisiana so it’s pretty much warm year round. We really don’t have seasons much to speak of. Winter isn’t even all that cold. I’m a pretty cold person but this summer with temps over 100 and the humidity and heat index out of this world, I’m hot just like hubby and daughter are year round. We have to turn our air down at night, opposite of most people, because we all sweat at night. My husband once told me he works hard and isn’t going to be hot in his own house so he doesn’t get mad if the electric bill is crazy high. We’ve always done well with that though. We haven’t ever had an electric bill over $200 and with LA summers, that’s pretty amazing.

78?? Wow. I am back living at home with my mom and I will not let her turn the heat up past 70. I would prefer it at 65 but I compromise for her. She used to be hot all the time which is where I learned it from so it is frustrating!!

I am always cold and I joke that it is because I was born in Florida! LOL! My hubby is the exact opposite and lives in shorts in the winter!

I would rather it right about at 68ish, give or take a couple degrees…which generally works out perfect since the WA environment never gets too cold or too hot, save a few days out of the year!

i’m always hot.. my dad & i constantly fight over the thermostat and i always have a fan on.

I get cold easily. I lived in a hot climate for a while, and got used to it, and still don’t mind the heat as much as cold bothers me.
