Yes I don’t like to make New Year’s resolutions. I guess because I don’t see why the beginning of a year should be any different then say March or August 21st. I guess it is the “beginning” so with it we like to promise to make changes. Despite my usual MO of not making resolutions this year I am. Not only that but it is your typical and traditional resolution. My health and weight loss journey needs to be re-vamped and is long over due.
When I started my blog in June 2010 I was already on my weight loss journey, in fact by the time I introduced myself I had lost 26 pounds. Through the following months I lost an additional 18 pounds for a total lost of 44 pounds. I gained back about 5 of those and stayed steady at a 39 weight loss for a good year. However sadly I have gained back 18 of those 39 pounds and I’m slowly creeping up further.
This week off has not helped at all. My husband and I have both decided this year will be the year of “health”. We both have personal goals of weight loss and exercise and plan to achieve them. I’m not committing to a weekly update or any specific update for that matter but as I begin to get in shape and get on track you may see more and more about my progress, my health, and my weight loss as I tend to write about what is going on.
My goal this year is to lose approx 45 lbs. I know it is a lot and the though of that number is hard for me to swallow when I was so close before. So here is to a another great year for the Shibley’s in 2012.
