Weekends are not always my friend when it comes to eating healthy and staying on plan. I know I’m only at week one, but let me explain. I’m not saying I over eat at all. I’m not saying I strayed so far off the path I had to squint to see it. My problem on weekends is I don’t eat enough and I don’t drink enough water. I don’t like to eat the minute I jump out of bed. It is probably programmed in me because I get up, get ready, get off to work and eat at work. So the weekends I find myself getting out of bed. I tidy the kitchen while making breakfast for the family. Oh wait the laundry should be started. A quick trip to the bathroom reminds me that I need to clean the sink. Before I know it, it is eleven o’clock and I haven’t eaten or drank a single thing.
Or I get the kids fed and we rush off to the soccer game, and soon to follow the baseball game and even though I eat breakfast it is now 3pm and I haven’t eaten lunch. The lake of eating on schedule and often enough does make it much harder to resist temptation. I admit that Nutrisystem makes this whole process a lot easier for me so thankfully it wasn’t that I didn’t eat at all. However I admit I didn’t eat the extra’s or much beyond the Nutrisystem meals which is also not a healthy habit.
So my goal for next week is to be a little more prepared and make sure I eat on schedule and enough. I also vow to get my water intake so I’m not in the bathroom fifteen times a day on Monday!
