Panda PandaMonium is one of the newest games by Big Fish Games. I am a huge fan of Big Fish Games and have a few of the downloaded on my computer as well as on my iPad. Their games are always so fun and the graphics are always amazing. Not too long ago I did a review for Cascade. Today we are reviewing Panda PandaMonium. When my daughter saw me download the game she was excited and wanted to play with me.
We went through the tutorial and found that the concept of the game was pretty simple yet challenging which is prefect for both young and
old young at heart. You must free the Pandas!
Make matches of the same tile type to clear the level and rescue the Pandas from the hungry Dragon! Test your puzzle skills – match powerful tiles to trigger massive bonuses and compete with your friends!
In addition to saving the Panda’s you are also challenged to complete a few other tasks to earn extra starts. For example below you need to save the Panda’s but at the same time try to remove 8 leaves and score 100,000 points. If you do all three you will receive 4 lightening bolts or lives. If you can get three stars at each level your life meter will remain full.
The game is a game of matching tiles to release the Pandas. You can not release the Panda’s unless you have removed all tiles around the Panda’s.
As you pass each level you are given harder challenges and new obstacles. As you can see above their are rocks surrounding the Pandas as well as a color bar underneath. The bar tells you how many hits the rock is going to take to explode. In the photo above each rock will take three hits before it will disappear. I have found this to be one of the harder challenges and I’m only on level 13.
My daughter loved the game so much she downloaded it on her own iPad. In addition to passing the levels you can also earn Jades. With these Jades you can purchase energy or increase your energy level. I do think that saving your Jades to increase your energy level is a smart move. I think 3 lives is a little low. I like to try to get three stars on each level and I find that if I can’t get one I waste my lives trying to get the elusive start.
I have been enjoying this app and have been playing it each night in addition to a few other games that have limited my game play due to lives. I would love to be able to play this a little longer without having to save up lives but otherwise the challenge is fun and as I said above the graphics are great. You can download it for free! So let’s start saving those Panda’s!
