Honey loves almost anything when it comes to toys. Boys toys, girls toys, it doesn’t matter she is pretty easy to please. She has always been very fond of the Pet Shop Toys and Polly Pockets. Over the years she has collected quite a few of both. When I was given the opportunity to pick out a few items to review for Mattel the Polly Pocket Race to the Concert Playset was something I thought Honey would enjoy.
Help Polly™ and her friends bring even more holiday cheer to girls by helping them get to the concert to perform the hit single, All Good Day. Race Polly™. With her friends, Crissy® and Lea®, Polly speeds down the tricked-out tracks to warm up the audience. Then launch Polly™ through a 360 degree loop to make her grand entrance to the stage and start the show! Explore the tracks to slide, spin and loop the dolls to different areas of the playset. Let them hang out in the backstage rooms or take the stage to activate the All Good Day song, which girls can sing along to for a guaranteed adventure with Polly™. Includes playset, 3 dolls and concert-themed piece-count.
We gave this to Honey for her birthday in November so she has had ample time to play with it. It takes and adult to set it up, it took me about 20 minutes to get it together but it was not hard at all. It helps to keep the box with the photo so you can compare as you build it.
Honey enjoyed it the first day. She raced her Polly Pocket down the roller coaster. However I have to be honest and let you know that she has not played with it since. The toy is constructed well and does what it says it will do. Combined with other Polly Pocket products this makes a great addition. However I think that Honey has moved on to other things like painting, crafts, and playing outside with her brothers. Though I thought she was going to be excited about this gift it ended up being one that is sitting un-played in her closet.
However I figure one of these days she will find it there again, drag it out and play with it. She seems to do this often with toys forgotten. She doesn’t like to get rid of anything and usually at some point in time I will see her playing with long ago bought toys once again.
Shibley Smiles Review Opinions:
Price: At $49.99 with the lack of play time my own child got out of this toy we feel this is a little pricey.
Quality: The quality of the toy is average. One of the stabilizing bars tends to come off a lot and I will often find pieces of it unattached. However it is hard to make a child’s toy that stays together at all times.
Recommendation: We would recommend this product if your child seems to enjoy Polly Pockets.
