Our annual pumpkin party was this weekend and it was a fun and relaxing time. The day started off with our Saturday soccer game. Christopher sat out due to his broken toe and arm but Nick played a great game despite the extremely gusty winds due to Hurricane Sandy. Later in the afternoon we headed to my sisters for some good food, family fun, and pumpkin carving (and painting). When we pulled up to my sisters her Halloween decorations made my laugh. I absolutely LOVE this skeleton strategically placed like he is just resting and checking out the view.
As we all got out of the car and made our way to the door I noticed a not so fortunate gentleman who’s view was not quite as nice as his friend here on the bench.
Honey and I made some special Halloween treats using a kit we picked up at Walmart, we made chocolate lollipops!
With the recent effects of Hurricane Sandy blowing debris all over the place the kids decided to stay out of the pool, which was great for Christopher since he wasn’t allowed in anyway with his broken arm. Instead they concentrated on carving their pumpkins. A broken arm wasn’t going to keep Christopher from his carving enjoyment.
And the final results from left to right: Nick’s, Honey’s, and Christopher’s masterpieces (notice the boys made the traditional yet goofy faces while Honey spent the time to use her artistic talents)
We had a good time, and had some great food, in fact we were almost full on the before goodies and didn’t know if we were going to be ready for dinner. However we all sucked it up and found out we had enough room for a little more.
Here are some photos I took that I thought I would share that made me smile.

Nick and his dad!

My nephew, he is looking much more mature these days!

My handsome young man!
It was also just a day after Kenny’s 50th birthday so we brought him a little cake to celebrate.(I wonder if their is a resemblance LOL just kidding Ken!)
