Have you ever wondered what happens with the food you so neatly pack in your child’s lunchbox once it leaves the house? Well they eat it at lunch of course! However many kids will unpack their lunchbox onto the cafeteria table. While that table may have been cleaned before they sat it down didn’t they just sit their lunchbox down on the table to unpack it? A lunchbox that has been grabbed, dropped, shoved, and who knows where it has been picking up germs and dirt along the way.
One teacher and mother after some research found a shocking research conducted by the University of Arizona that stated:
“The germiest place in a school building….is the cafeteria table.”
Rita and her husband made it their mission to create a lunchbox that did not only double as a placemat but was able to be thrown in the wash easily for cleaning. I know as a mother I’ve gone through my share of lunchboxes because after a while they just get…well….gross! Rita and her husband invited the Solvetta!
After painstaking nights of trial and error Rita and her husband took their lunchbox on the road to the International Housewares Show in Chicago. There it won the 2013 Innovation Award!
Our goal is to provide you with a quality, heat resistant and washable lunchbox that also serves as a placemat while dining away from home; at school, at the office, and at the park. By unzipping the four easy zippers of the FlatBox-LunchBox it converts into a flat placemat in seconds.
Solvetta has been featured in many news articles and stores are wanting to stock this innovative and unique product.
Right now Rita and her husband are working on getting the Solvetta FlatBox-Lunchbox into production. They’ve selected a company, they have orders in the wings, companies are ready to stock their shelves with this product. I honestly think it will be a big hit. They are currently looking for pledges in their efforts to get the production started. They are currently signed up with Kickstarter and would love for you to visit and read the whole story.
By placing an order for a Solvetta lunchbox you are taking part of getting a new product and company underway. Just think how exciting it will be to see the lunchbox in the hands of kids at school knowing you helped get it started with a simple purchase. The way Kickstarter works is no one is charged until the pledge limit is met. At that time if enough pledges were received to reach the goal everyone’s pledges will be charged and the Solvetta lunchbox will go into production. At that time you will receive your product or if you chose to donate your pledge your lunchbox will go to a much needed cause.
