When summer was in full sing I had to find a way to entertain my children. Well more so my daughter then my boys, they would play on XBox all day if I let them. One of the easiest ways to have a great time with my kids is with board games. At the beginning of the summer I went out and purchased a few games so the kids would have something to do. We had a great time playing Hedbanz. This game lasted a while and was full of laughs. I recently had the chance to review a handful of new games. One of our favorite things to review are games, especially ones we would have otherwise not been introduced too. Our first game up for review is Sonny the Seal
According to my oldest son (who is 15) this game was a piece of cake. I guess it was a good thing he didn’t play with my daughter and I because I think I ringed Sonny the Seal twice during the whole game. Being competitive like I am I actually found this game for young children challenging. So much so that I wanted to continue to prove that I could actually get a ring around Sonny the Seal. My daughter and I had a good time and I loved watching her face of concentration as she threw here ring.
We tossed the point system on the window and just played for fun seeing how many times we could get our ring around Sonny the Seal and grab a gold fish!
Honey’s Own Review of Sonny the Seal
When you score a point you get a fish and when you get a point Sonny the Seal claps. I liked playing Sonny the Seal with my family. My favorite part was when I got a fish.
This was a cute game to play with my daughter. My recommendations for age range would be ages 4-6. You can make it more challenging for older kids by requiring them to stand back further while giving the advantage to the younger kids by placing them closer. Definitely can be a fun game for everyone to see who can get the most rings around Sonny the Seal.
Sonny the Seal is manufacturer by Goliath Games.
Product Description
Sonny the seal is the star of the show. He moves and sounds just like a real seal. The player that tosses the most rings over sonny’s bobbing head wins the game. Kids will love watching sonny celebrate by clapping his flippers and barking each time he ‘catches’ a ring.
