Swapdom.com is a new site where you can swap, good condition, but no longer needed items for something else that catches your eye. Here is a brief video explaining the process.
Swapdom – How it works from Swapdom on Vimeo.
I don’t know how many times I’ve purchased something for one of my kids, they wear it two or three times, and then they go to bed and grow an inch. Or even worst I’ve purchased something my daughter has begged for only to find out that she really didn’t like it as much as she liked it in the store and refuses to wear it. I never throw away clothes. Well that is unless they really need to be thrown away. I often try to find a friend or co-worker who might like the items or donate them. My co-worker is happy to take my daughters barely worn shirts but her daughter is about one foot shorter than my daughter and can’t fit into any of her pants.
I was recently introduced to Swapdom.com where you can swap out your out grown or unwanted clothing for something in just the right size or more fashionable for a little diva’s picky taste! I signed up and added a couple items to get started.
As you can see a couple of these items still have tags! Yep that’s my girl. It has been up a couple of weeks and I’ve already gotten some emails that my items are “on fire” LOL I say that because a little flame appears letting you know that someone likes your item. In fact, when I went to change my “cover image” I was told that it was in a swap and would be removed if I edited the listing so I left it alone.
When you add your items you can select up to three photos to showcase your item and decide which one is the cover. In addition, you fill out information to tell users what size, brand, etc. your item is. Swapdom.com is not just for clothing there are also categories for baby gear, toys, and games. I bet you have a ton of baby gear to get rid of if you are done with that phase of your family.
I’m sure you are wondering how much all of this cost right?
All you pay is the shipping cost, which includes our small service fee! The fee is built as a percentage into the cost of shipping but does not exceed $2.

That’s a great idea to do this. I’ve always donated to Goodwill or something, but I like this also!

Sounds like a great online site. I’ve always donated to a local thrift store or Vietnam Vets or something like that, as they usually have a truck that will pickup unwanted items a your front door.

This sounds like such a great service! I have some amazing clothes that would still be great for others, but not for me anymore. I’ll have to check this out. Thanks!

It’s like an online thrift store, which seems like a ton of fun! With as fast as my three children outgrow clothing, this could really come in handy.

This is a good idea! I can’t tell you how often I no longer need or fit into something that would be awesome for someone else.

I love this idea… I’m bad to buy things I think I like but not so much after I get them home, like your daughter. 🙂 And, yes, my son outgrows clothes like nobody’s business.
