Do you feel your kid has a style all their own? Are they proud of that style? How about taking the last weeks before the new school year and have them strut their stuff and show of their style. That is what Target wants you to do. To kick off the new school year, Target is creating an online event that celebrates real kids’ style. For 5 days in August, Target will be creating curated collections of Target products (“Stylagrams”) inspired by pictures of real kids — with real style — on Instagram. Your child can be one of those style setting kids!
- Instagram a picture of your kid
- Include #KidsGotStyle and @Target in the caption
- You and your kid might just get a Stylagram!
I took part in this campaign and Honey and I had a fun photo shoot. She put on her favorite outfit and did some of her favorite outdoor activities playing basketball, jump rope, and hula hoop. She just recently has updated her style to include neon shorts and her favorite new accessory her vest. She is very much a “shoe” girl and loves boots and high tops. Here is the photo we posted!
Honey was so cute she had to review all the photos before we decided on what photo to send. There were a few where her hair was in her face or flying high (from jump roping) or a few where her shirt was showing her belly. Those were all a no go! As I was composing this post for you Target posted a Stylegram for us so I had to share. Check it out, don’t forget to give it some love! You can give it a like or comment on Target’s Instagram
What was interesting is as Honey watched it she said, “Do you know what my favorite part is?” Turns it out is the way the Sharpies are positioned around her (like fireworks she says). Funny that this is what she zeroed in on. Probably because she loves Sharpies and I won’t let her keep them in her room LOL! What she really needs are new shoes. My husband, if he is reading this, is probably sitting there with his jaw open with a look of confusion on his face thinking “She needs new shoes?” She really does, because all the shoes she does have are boots and flip flops. What I mean is she needs no tennis shoes like the high tops in the picture and video. Her feet are growing and she is almost out of the ones she has.
Time for Back to School Shopping
I guess I need to plan a trip to Target for some back to school clothes shopping. That is if I can finally get Honey to shop for uniforms! I think this year I may just have to pick them out myself and hope they fit! Target here we come!
