My daughter often monopolizes my iPhone. I’m not sure who uses it more her or me. This is my second iPhone because one day at Wal-Mart my daughter reached to point to something forgetting my iPhone was on her lap and it fell to the ground sending spider webs of cracks through the touch screen. Believe it or not it continued to work until I could get a new one for my birthday in March.
She is constantly asking me to purchase new games for her. Occasionally I relent and do so but often times I appease her with the free ones. However there have been times when she has purchased some on her own not even realizing she has done so.
So when Kiboomu asked me if I would be interested in reviewing an iPhone app I thought to myself definitely. This is something Honey would love to try out. I downloaded Twinkle Twinkle Star Piano and relinquished my iPhone for a while.
Spark your child’s love of learning and musical creativity with this sing and play along piano!
With this play-a-song piano app, children can do the following:
♫ follow the lighted keys or match the colorful music notes to the piano keys
♫ watch the piano keys light up one by one with the song
♫ press the start button and sing along
♫ add animal sounds to the song
♫ hear the song played on a banjo, xylophone, harp, flute, bells and more!
♫ record your child singing and playing the piano!
♫ sing and read karaoke style lyrics in English, French & Spanish
That is a lot you can do for the price of .99 cents. I did have to help my daughter with a little bit to figure out how to record your own music and how to change the instruments and add animal sounds. She LOVED adding animal sounds and thought it was quite funny. She enjoyed singing along as long as I was not in the room watching her and had no interest in actually learning how to play the song correctly. As far as she was concerned the music she created was just as good, or probably better.
Kiboomu has to say the following:
Playing the piano is not just fun, it’s educational too, which is a big part of what Kiboomu is about. (Kids grow smart with music is our slogan)
We’ve done much research and found a lot of data that shows that piano lessons:
1.Help Children in School
2.Raise Self Esteem.
4.Help Children to Concentrate
5.Help Children to be Well-Rounded
In a recent article, the Science Daily wrote that “exposing your child to music boosts their learning.”
There is also quite a fair amount of scientific evidence out there that states “children who are exposed to music at an early age do better on tests and make better math and science students later on.”
And, the research even touches on “a link between music and singing and good health and healing.”
According to medical and health-care research “children that sing are less likely to be overly stressed and a more positive emotionally.”
Disclaimer: This is my own honest opinion. I received the Twinkle Twinkle Star Piano App for the purpose of this review. The receiving of this app in no way shaped my opinion. A big thank you to Kiboomu for providing apps to 10 of my awesome readers. You may read more disclosure details here.
