Phase 3 Ultimate Reset Reclaim Day 15-16
Unfortunately Phase 3 has not changed my feelings towards the foods I’m suppose to be eating. One night it is a whole head of cauliflower. Now I do love the way the cauliflower was cooked but I can’t eat an entire head. One lunch was a pound of carrots (with all kinds of seasonings.) So I broke down and had a few pieces of licorice on Day 16. I didn’t feel guilty at all I think because I’ve been so restricted.
Phase 3 Ultimate Reset Reclaim 17-18
It hit me on Day 17 that I wasn’t doing myself any good by trying to stay true to this plan. I found myself skipping lunch totally because I couldn’t eat the food AT ALL! Then having just vegetables for dinner I was just starting to feel sluggish. So I thought it over and over and decided while I understand the concept of why I’m eating the foods I just couldn’t eat JUST the fruits and veggies. For this reason on Day 18 I reverted back a little to week one. I decided to have a small bowl of oatmeal with my fruit in the morning (this really helped with hunger issues). For lunch I had a small piece of chicken with my steamed green beans. For dinner I made the really good rice and beans that were in week 2. So not sure if the “cleanse” is still going on since I have changed my eating pattern from the menu but I feel so much better. I have continued to take all the supplements and will finish them.
Phase 3 Ultimate Reset Reclaim 19 – END
I’ve officially ended my Ultimate Reset. I am still eating well but I’m not eating the foods so therefore I no longer feel I’m on the program. This morning I tried the McDonald’s oatmeal (didn’t care for it but good in a pinch-or just get eggs). I had veggies for lunch (more like a plan lunch) but I had Lite Progresso Soup for dinner (not on the plan at all). I am finishing out the supplements but I’m gradually switching over to other foods. So I felt I should consider it ended today a couple days short.
At first I felt a little guilty like I quit and didn’t finish but I wasn’t getting enough into my body due to my lack of finishing even half of my meals, meals that were all ready low calorie. However now I just feel liberated yet ready to tackle my next phase. I found my diet plan that goes with Les Mills Pump and the food in the book (especially compared to what I was eating now) sounds amazing. Pita sandwiches and whole grain tortillas. So this weekend I will be shopping to follow this plan. I find that if I’m following something it makes it easier for me to stay on track.
I plan on measuring and weighing on Saturday or Sunday and will post a follow up with my thoughts of the program as a whole and my before and after statistics, and photos as long as I can find my before photos I took. So look for that coming soon and know that I feel good with my decision and am doing great!

I don’t think I could follow through with that diet plan either! 🙁

You did a great job and don’t feel guilty, just keep up the good work with all you learned.

Aw man, I am sorry that this cleanse didn’t work out for you. I think the problem is with these kinds of extreme programs is that they don’t work for most people. I would die if I could only eat a lb of carrots for lunch. I hate raw carrots unless they have hummus on them!
Jenn says
Looking forward to seeing your results! You stuck with it longer than I could have.

I don’t think I could ever follow through with this and I would rather focus on something that can change my habits and lifestyle for good for the future instead of something I could never stick to for a long period of time.
Jennifer says
I would never be able to stick to this. Dont feel guilty. you did your best
Billie says
Don’t feel guilty, you put in a great effort. Mistakes mean we’re trying. That kind of program would be hard for anyone.
Louise says
You really did such a great job
Leilani says
Don’t feel guilty! That diet plan was incredibly difficult to stick to.
Kelly says
Wow, a whole head of cauliflower? That’s a lot. Colleen, your new direction sounds great and good job on trying something new.
Becca @ Mama B says
You gave it your absolute best and did a great job! With such a restrictie diet, it would be impossible for me to follow!
Courtney says
I have a hard time staying dedicated to anything work out.. You came so far so don’t feel guilty!!

I bet my hubs could do this one. He does the HCG drops and you have to eat according to blood type. He can eat like 3 cups of veggies each meal and does. He gets more energy when he does that diet. Maybe that was why it wasn’t working for you, maybe your blood type requires other stuff??!! You did a great job!!
Anne - Mommy Has to Work says
I couldn’t do, but hey, at least you gave a great try!

Thanks for the honesty. I’d hate to sink money & time into a plan that wasn’t a good fit.
Elaina- A Time Out for Mommy says
There are so many diet choices because not every diet works for everyone. Good job trying it out and letting us know your thoughts!
Donna George says
No real diet will be so restrictive. A whole head of cauliflower? Really? That is just ridiculous. How are you supposed to get an idea of what to eat on a daily basis like that. Yeah, you might lose weight, but you aren’t learning anything. Good for you for knowing what is not working.

I feel after losing over 60lbs on my own, I know a bit about health and wellness. Although I am unsure as to exactly how the Ultimate Reset fully works, eating just one type of veggie for an entire meal sounds ridiculous, I’m sorry.
Good for you for doing your best and pushing forward!! By the way, I wasn’t a McDonald’s oatmeal fan either.

some diets work differently on certain people, i lost over 100 lbs just exercising and watching what i eat.

Hi,
I am so thankfull for letting us know the REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE, behind the diet. We always get to read the GOOD STUFF from coaches or people from the business, but I believe what you did by publishing facts and PRICES, Is WONDERFULL, CONGRATS ALL THE WAY! from taking the iniciative to start, which is already a big step and 2 for speaking the truth about what is the other side when the diet or cleanse doesnt really work too well for others. Very appreciated all the work you put together on this, Cant wait to hear if all the money and sacrifices you made were worth it. Keep up the great work… AND BEUTIFULL FAMILY BY THE WAY!
Colleen says
Thank you that is so nice of you to say. I really wanted to give a very realistic view of what I experienced so others had something to compare to when thinking of purchasing.
It was really hard I don’t know if I could do it again.

I love to see review of this from someone other than a coach. Very helpful for someone considering trying it! Thanks for that!
But I did want to note to those who may be misunderstanding what the Ultimate Reset is. It is NOT a diet. Beachbody does not call it a diet or a weight loss program. Eating this way (vegan) temporarily allows your digestive system a break to cleanse the toxins out. Animal proteins are hard on the digestive system and limiting them is ALWAYS a good idea. And no meal on this program was just one food (The cauliflower meal included lemon-pepper kale.)
As an experienced fitness professional and would definitely recommend this program to someone wanting to detoxify and change their eating habits.
Thanks again!
Colleen says
Yes I believe I have mentioned in another post about the plan that I stressed it is NOT a diet but a cleansing program, with the side effect often of losing weight.
