I swear it was just 5 o’clock on Friday about an hour ago. Why is it the weekends seem to fly by and next thing you know it is Sunday evening and your still trying to get that last one or SEVEN things done that you swore you were going to get done over the weekend. SIGH! That seems to be the story of my life.
I did manage to get some house cleaning in between my grocery shopping, running the kids around, and of course blogging. So for that I’m extremely thankful, however my bedroom still looks like a tornado hit it. Hubby and I have been walking together at night which I am really enjoying it gives us time each day to unwind and talk to each other without the kids yelling “Mommy this” and “Mommy that”. I highly recommend something like this if you can manage to fit it in.
I realized over the weekend that my daughter is a walking advertisement. She seems to catch each and every commercial on TV and brings them up at the oddest moments. She spilled some fruit punch on the boys bedroom floor Friday (don’t ask why it was in there when it is not allowed). Sunday morning we were sitting eating breakfast and out of the blue she says to me, “Mom you can get OxyClean to get that stain out of the boys floor. That is what it is for you know, to clean up stains like that. I know I say it on a commercial.” Here I thought the days of commercials were long gone LOL.
I totally spaced out on Mom duty this month and MISSED the deadline to sign Buddy up for soccer. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that when I call today they will add him to the waiting list and he will get right on a team. I have no idea how that happened. Thankfully the baseball sign ups have also begun but are still going on this week so that is where I plan to be this evening.
Honey got a new dress up costume in the mail this weekend. Since we are able to review costumes for Halloween through out the year I figured why not let Honey pick out some fun costumes to add to her collection of dress up outfits. We browsed through all the girls costumes and she narrowed it down to this Midnight Fairy Costume. I hope this is not any indication as to her changing mood and attitude as she seemed to lean towards all the black costumes. However black or not I think she looks adorable in it.
She mentioned maybe wearing this for Halloween, but I told her by Halloween it will be way to small for her. She seems to be getting taller and taller every day. The girl is all legs! While we were browsing the costumes and trying to decide which one we were going to chose I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were. This one was only $24.98 and it really is of good quality, much better then the ones we get at Party City. This came with a body suit, wings, glitter belt, some glitter additions to the shoulders (not seen here because Honey didn’t like them) and the wand. Honey now has a purple fairy, geni, and this midnight fairy that she can rotate when she plays dress up.
Disclaimer: I received the costume in this post for the purpose of reviewing and posting my honest opinion. Thank you to Whole Sale Costume Club.

At least you got your cleaning in! If it wasn't for my husband our house would be a health hazard. It's messy but at least not dirty right now.
My husband and I work together and he drives me back and forth so we get plenty of time together!
The costume is adorable! And good luck with soccer sign-ups!

Black is the new pink. No? I think she looks adorable and I wouldn't worry about any tendancies to go "Goth." 🙂 I didn't get any cleaning done, but I did get a lot of laundry processed. The weekends go way to fast!
