We often spend so much time regretting what we should have done, or should have become. We use our time to wish for better things, or complain about what we don’t have. I have ALWAYS been a believer in striving for better and being happy in the moment. My husband is a perfect example of someone that is striving constantly to do better and want more but use to forget about being happy with what he had. About 4-5 years ago that changed. For reasons of his own he finally began to see what he had, and realized that he had a lot and was happy with his life despite his continuing to strive to be better. I wanted to share with you why my life is perfect in a photo parade!
My husband makes me smile every day. Some people may not get his humor at times, but it works for me. He does silly things and says things that just make me laugh or smile. Laughter is one of the most important emotions in my opinion. My husband is everything to me and I look forward to a day when we can do all the things we want to do together. (Note: For some reason when the kids take a photo of us it always turns out blurry)
My first born son who I knew without a doubt was a boy is a lot like his father. He is very loving and caring. He is 14 years old right now and sometimes I think aliens invaded his body and are controlling him from some secret location just to make my life challenging but otherwise he is a wonderful, intelligent, and loving boy.
Nicholas is my free spirit. He just wants everyone to get a long and enjoy life. He is more like me, planning is not his strong suit and he likes to go with the flow. He is the friendliest kid you will ever meet. He considers everyone his friend and he knows how to put you at ease.
Honey is my “not so princess”. I say this because she is beautiful like a princess but likes to hang with the boys. Her favorite color is black and she prefers trendy clothes with skulls, rock, and love, to a frilly girly outfit any day. She was our little surprise that completed our family.
These babies are what inspired my blog name “Shibley Smiles“! My family is full of smiles and love and because of that I have the perfect life!

Good for you for taking pleasure in what you have in the here & now. None of us know what’s around the corner so it’s important to take stock & be happy & grateful for what you have & have achieved, right now. (I’m saying this to myself as well as you!) Laughter is also what unites my husband & I. Deep down we are both silly! Actually not that deep!
