When I lived in South Florida, my answer would have been iguanas. We had a couple of huge ones that lived in the palm trees behind my townhouse 🙂

I remember visiting my husbands family down on Pine Island. I put my baby down on the grass. Aunt Jean came running out shouting about alligators & red ants. A new world for me.

Love it! I was raised in Fernandina Beach, Florida and can remember when we had an alligator wander into my elementary school’s playground and then another one in our home on the marsh. I live in Tallahassee now and have only seen one here and that was in the local swimming pond 🙂
