My daughter seems to be one of our hard working reviewers here at Shibley Smiles with the release of Zhu Zhu Puppies for Nintendo DS. Here collection is growing and she loves it.
Zhu Zhu Puppies is similar to many other games in which you get to take care of a virtual pet. At the start of the game you will get to chose a puppy to adopt. Once you have adopted your puppy it is now awaiting your tender loving care. You have two different types of games to chose from. In the first game you do little task to take care of your puppy such as petting them, cleaning them, feeding them, etc.
A more liberating phase is the Free Play. In this game play you get a chance to play with your puppy. You can play tag, fetch, etc. In addition you can spend your “allowance” which you earn in the first phase to dress up your puppy or buy fun things to do with him/her.
As you continue to play you will unlock new activities and additional task to help take care of your Zhu Zhu Puppy. This game is perfect for my 5 year old because you do not have to read to play. Any game that requires reading requires help from her brothers, so they are all for games with no reading.
I asked Honey her opinion of the game and she said she liked it. However I didn’t realize she was not aware that she could earn money to buy things for her puppy. Right now she is in her room looking for her game so I can show her how it works. My opinion of this game is that it sounds like a simple game that is great for young children such as my daughter. My daughter wants to be a veterinarian so she loves puppies and animals and enjoys playing games that include them.
In ZhuZhu Puppies™, the player has the ability to bond with their own cute and personalized puppy. Players will become intimately acquainted with their puppy and get to take care of it, just like a real pet, by walking, grooming, and feeding it. If they successfully care for their puppy, players will receive merits which can then be accumulated and used to spend at the pet shop. Different game components, including songs, games, and a full customization menu, make this one of the most personalized and specialized virtual pet experiences.
